I'm Min Kang. I'm an English major who lacked all the qualifications to be a journalist. I have an amateur's knowledge of music, films, fashion, and literature that doesn't distinguish me, but shows my avid interest in the media. I figured that the ultimate job for me was in reviewing. But that bubble popped when it dawned on me: why would anyone care about MY opinion? Through this class, it has forced me to push past insecurities and to dig into some inner drive, like in the Hero's Journey, to work to become a journalist. The best motivation in non-fiction is that there is some claim I have to be a representative of the people I interview, to ensure I tell the story straight.
